THRUST Singer Seriously Injured In Motorcyle Crash
September 26, 2003Greg Divine, the lead singer of Kansas City-based THRUST (web site),was seriously injured when his motorcycle collided with a car Wednesday night (September 24).
Divine is lucky to be alive after the crash, KMBC's Kris Ketz reported. The vocalist was not wearing a helmet when his motorcycle came together with a car, according to TheKansasCityChannel.com. The car's bumper was torn from the vehicle and left at the scene. Police later arrested the driver.
Divine was rushed to the University of Kansas Medical Center, where he remains hospitalized with serious injuries.
"All of our thoughts are with Greg. We hope that everything is good for him, and he is our man," said Mike Scott, a member of THRUST.
THRUST, who have previously played with L.A. GUNS, GODSMACK and COLD, have brought in another lead singer for the group's next four to six shows. After that, they'll play it by ear.
Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that Divine will be back onstage soon. His friends say the singer faces a long road back to health, including reconstructive surgery.
